Bonjour,
Many railcars are equipped with a ski at both ends. In order to
function correctly in block sections, and braking timely in front of
red signals, it is vital for the decoder to employ only one ski for
(voltage) pick up – depending on direction of travel. This to achieve
is precisely the responsibility of our ski change-over electronics: It
is hooked up between pick up and LokPilot-or LokSound decoder: After
reprogramming, all ESU decoders (not LokPilot Basic V1.0, LokPilotXL
DCC) can send a control-pulse that talks to the change-over electronics
and then selects the “correct” ski. This combination works perfectly
and without interference in digital – and analog mode.
